Hi  Peter,

I'm still here, but playing around with cad software. Thinking I may have to get to grips with Python. Iwillmostlikelyneedanewkeyboard, thespacebarispackinguponthisone.

Its weird not seeing all the questions and Paul's last Post was quite some time ago.

Absolutely zero development on my side at the moment.
Our organisation went belly-up, so the mood in the place is kind of gloomy.
We are expecting the lay-off notices to come soon.

Hope Paul is still working on this project.

I see some of the other regulars are logging in daily.

Hope all of you are well, and you had no run-in with Corona!!

O yes, most of you are heading into winter now.

I am already dreading the 42 degree celsius summers in December.....
Its already blazing hot outside.

Hi Peter, sorry to hear about your job situation - you will not be alone... Look at  it as an opportunity. Other doors will open, just walk through them, there's more on the other side.

I'm still here. Pandemic has made my day job a little harder to work around. Not as much programming these days. Been caught up in a Linux project that consumes my free time. I'll be back at WinFBE especially when the colder weather starts closing in on me.  :-)

... and I'm still here! Got to enjoying those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer; emphasis on "crazy".
The current WinFBE is working fine for me at this time though I'm Looking forward to the next release ;0)
I hope you are all okay and staying healthy.

Wishing you all the best, Peter. You've told me several times over the years of how troubled the economy is there and now your employer is barely surviving. I hope that you land on your feet and come out on top.

Similar thoughts here too.  With Corona and the drop in the oil prices, the oil and gas sector has taken a huge hit.  I've been out of work since March, a couple of weeks after I was knocked off my bike on the way to work and nearly killed.  (Better now, but still unemployed).
I'm hoping that a job pops up soon (old employer that should be pleased with the 7 years service I did, plus the literally millions of dollars that I saved them)...  But we will see.

Hi Andrew, sorry to hear about your job and accident. Hope things get better for you and your family!

Yes the world is different and probably will be until ... <pick your ending>.  Here in the USA we just got a temporary "stay of execution" but I am not sure where it is all headed in the next years and decades.

When Bob Zales died I starting moving to PowerBASIC (now Xojo) but every now and then I need to recompile some PowerBASIC stuff built in FireFly.

I have now retired from my "day job" starting February of 2020 but I still support a few old customers.

I think I will check in here from time to time.

Paul, I always enjoyed our conversations.

Everybody stay safe.

So D-Day has arrived.

Most transport vehicles were impounded, phone lines discontinued, sms services stopped and more.
Electricity got cut for 8 months arrears, luckily that is on now.

From this point onwards my friends i do not know how much longer i will have a job.
Corrupt government eyeing our pension savings, because everything else had been stolen and destroyed.

I don't know if this will even reach your media, but as long as i can afford internet when we close down, i will make a stop here daily as i always do.
