"Apply Properties to Group"

I understand the intent of this menu selection but I cannot seem to get it to work properly. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. I am working with a group of UpDown controls. I had a problem with the control width so I thought this might be a good way to set all the widths. I selected all the UpDown controls with the last control selected having the right width. "Width" has selected in the Properties box. I clicked on the "Apply Properties to Group" menu selection. Nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Most likely related to the UpDown 'width' problem that I fixed in the other thread.

The only relationship between these problems is that I happened to find them both while working on the same dialog. I just don't see how to use this function routinely. What properties of the selected control are applied to the selection group?
